30 سبتمبر، 2024

Future Center for Advanced Research and Studies (FARAS) is participating in the Riyadh International Book Fair 2024, which is currently being held on the campus of King Saud University in the Saudi capital from September 26 to October 5. The center's involvement highlights its position as a prominent research institution.

Located at pavilion E272, the center's exhibition space showcases its latest diverse publications, which provide specialized scientific and academic insights on global and regional issues. These publications shed light on the most important geopolitical transformations, economic changes, significant social developments, and other topics that fall within the scope of the center's work.

Among the center's featured publications at this year's Riyadh International Book Fair is the "FARAS Books" series. This collection encompasses numerous books addressing vital issues such as wars in the Middle East, changes in the international system and their impact on neighboring elements, and demographic shifts and their effects on national security. The series also explores the role of soft power in politics for middle powers, major powers' use of culture in international relations, and international competition in the Indian and Pacific Ocean regions. Additionally, it covers topics like the Russian-Ukrainian war, geopolitical implications of modern perspectives on climate change, supply chains and the future paths of renewable energy worldwide, and the future of the natural gas industry in 2050. This comprehensive series offers insights into a wide range of critical global issues, reflecting the complex and interconnected nature of contemporary international relations and geopolitics.

FARAS’s pavilion showcases the "Trending Events" periodical, published since 2014, which offers comprehensive analyses of global and regional issues. Authored by political science professors, senior writers, experts, and researchers from Arab countries, the Middle East, and other regions worldwide, this publication aids decision-makers and researchers in anticipating future developments. The pavilion features issues 36 and 37 of "Trending Events," released this year with enhanced editing and formatting.

Additionally, FARAS is also showcasing its "Asia Trends" periodical, which focuses on analyzing prominent developments and current events across the Asian continent. This publication covers Asian countries' relations with the world, regional interactions within the continent, and significant internal transformations in various Asian nations. The pavilion also displays the sixth issue of the annual "Strategic Report" for 2024. Furthermore, the Center is exhibiting its other publications and products, including "FARAS Studies," "Specialized Studies," "FARAS Estimates," "FARAS Indicators," "Global Visions," and various other works.

Coinciding with its participation in the Riyadh International Book Fair, FARAS has also launched its online store, offering both printed and digital publications and products. This platform allows researchers, academics, readers, and the general public to browse and securely purchase these materials, thereby expanding the reach of FARAS’s knowledge base.

FARAS’s involvement in the Riyadh International Book Fair aligns with its commitment to engaging in numerous cultural and intellectual events and forums across the Arab region and beyond. Through this participation, FARAS aims to connect with researchers, academics, and the general public while benefiting from the accompanying events and activities. This engagement reinforces FARAS’s role as a trusted source of knowledge and strategic analysis.

Moreover, this participation strengthens efforts to anticipate the future and foster a deeper understanding of global and regional changes, enabling FARAS to provide insightful visions that contribute to shaping the future.

The Riyadh International Book Fair, one of the region's most prominent annual cultural events, features over 2,000 local, Arab, and international publishing houses and agencies across 800 diverse pavilions. The fair also hosts renowned figures in literature, thought, culture, and publishing, alongside a rich cultural program of various events and activities.
